The Returns Clerk records information pertaining to merchandise to be returned to the manufacture - due to defects, incorrect amount(s) or type by performing the following duties contained below.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Examines and compares merchandise with original requisition to record information such as quantity, type of defects, and date on invoice or other forms.
Prepares invoices and other forms for all returned goods.
Types letters or information on records to explain reason for returned goods.
Compiles and files list of merchandise handled.
Communicate with customers and distributors via e-mail and phone Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful Experience working with a diverse group of people and skills Good verbal and writing skills Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment Ability to analyze data and information, and to make effective and timely decisions Ability to work under pressure and to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency Ability to adapt quickly to change and handle ambiguity with a positive attitude Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have intermediate data entry skills.
